Terms & Conditions – Hadley James Ltd

  1. Payment Terms
    All charges for servicing, repairs, and parts supplied are payable on completion of work, unless prior arrangements for credit facilities have been made.

  2. Accepted Payment Methods
    Payments can be made via cash, cheque, bank transfer, debit card, or credit card.

  3. Ownership of Parts and Materials
    All parts and materials supplied remain the property of Hadley James Ltd until payment has been received in full.

  4. Late Payment Charges
    Hadley James Ltd reserves the right to impose charges for credit on all overdue invoices.

  5. Release of Vehicle
    Hadley James Ltd reserves the right to withhold release of the vehicle until payment has been received in full.

  6. Cancellation and Handling Charges
    In the event of a customer cancelling work after parts have been ordered and obtained specifically for the vehicle, a handling charge or full settlement may apply at our discretion.

  7. Deposit Requirements
    Hadley James Ltd reserves the right to charge the customer a deposit upon ordering or contracting for services. The deposit amount will be determined at the time of order or contract.

  8. Removal of Personal Items
    Customers are advised to remove all personal items from the vehicle, particularly objects that could cause damage to the windscreen. While we take all reasonable precautions, the company will not accept responsibility for any losses.

  9. Insurance for Vehicle Drivers
    All employees of Hadley James Ltd are insured to drive vehicles on public roads up to 7.5 tonnes. Any vehicle over this weight will be driven under the customer’s insurance policy. A copy of our insurance policy is available on request.

  10. Guarantee on Workmanship
    All work carried out by Hadley James Ltd is guaranteed against faulty workmanship for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever occurs sooner. If a fault arises due to our workmanship within this period, we will rectify it free of charge. This guarantee does not apply to work carried out by third parties on our behalf, where their terms and conditions apply. In such cases, customers will be informed prior to the third-party work being undertaken. Hadley James Ltd will not be responsible for loss of earnings, inconvenience, or alternative transport costs related to claims under this guarantee.

  11. Parts Guarantee
    The guarantee on parts supplied is limited to the terms and conditions of the manufacturer’s guarantee in force at the time of purchase.

  12. Repair Estimates
    All repair estimates remain valid for 28 days. After this period, a revision may be necessary.

  13. Release of Vehicle After Work Completion
    Hadley James Ltd will only release the vehicle to the customer after repairs have been completed. We take no responsibility for vehicles removed before work is finished.

  14. Right to Refuse Work
    Hadley James Ltd reserves the right to refuse any repair, servicing, or other work on any vehicle we deem un-roadworthy or unsafe. Additionally, if any work requested may render a vehicle unsafe or negatively affect other parts of the vehicle, we reserve the right to refuse. If we determine that the vehicle is unsafe to use on a public highway, we will return it to the customer, with transportation costs borne by the customer. If during repairs we identify additional safety-related issues, we will advise the customer accordingly. Should the customer fail to approve the necessary repairs, we reserve the right to arrange for the vehicle’s transportation back to the customer’s address, at the customer’s cost.

  15. Completion Time
    Hadley James Ltd will endeavour to complete all services, repairs, or other works by the date and time requested by the customer. However, we cannot guarantee this and accept no responsibility for delays due to the non-availability of parts, spares, or any other circumstances beyond our control.

  16. Liability for Theft or Damage
    Hadley James Ltd will not be held responsible for any theft or damage to customer vehicles left overnight in our workshop or parked on our premises.

  17. Loan Vehicles
    Any loan vehicle provided by Hadley James Ltd must be insured by the customer, and the driver must possess a full, valid driver’s license. Only the individual who has signed for the vehicle may drive it. It is the customer's responsibility to check engine oil and water levels before driving the loan vehicle. Any damage to the loan vehicle will be charged to the customer.
